I'm getting the following errors in my error_log in the root directory.

[04-Nov-2006 12:16:38] PHP Warning: mysql_real_escape_string() [<a href='function.mysql-real-escape-string'>function.mysql-real-escape-string</a>]: A link to the server could not be established in /home/crabdanc/public_html/modules/Multiheadlines/functions.php on line 580
[04-Nov-2006 12:16:38] PHP Warning: mysql_real_escape_string() [<a href='function.mysql-real-escape-string'>function.mysql-real-escape-string</a>]: Access denied for user 'crabdanc'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in /home/crabdanc/public_html/modules/Multiheadlines/functions.php on line 289

anyone have any idea of what could be causing this? I have not been running multiheadlines very long but it seems to be working well.

thanks in advance...

Thanks for pointing me in a direction. I solved the problem this way:

I used mysql_escape_string() function instead of mysql_real_escape_string()

That stopped all my errors in the error log. Thanks for your help!
