Dear Community!

I have inserted these two feed urls in multiheadlines module

1. GEO Pakistan
2. GEO World

But, News did not come into the database, I used Google RSS Reader and entered the above two urls and News came and I could read the news from those rdf

I have searched the aikons forums about RDF and found this post

according to this I changed the value <item rdf: to <item> in function.php and my problem solved.
and the news came into the database (but less then the Google Reader)
Then I created a MH center block, but the center block showing only RDF News only in Links shape, images and the material that is showing in multiheadline module is not showing.
You can check it here and here.
Now I want to show the News according to this view in my center block
So Please guide me

Hi.

I think you are confusing some things.
There are five types of Multiheadlines blocks
- one like on my front page, at the bottom, where it says "PHP-Nuke News", this is a Multiheadlines center block and it shows only the titles[links] from feeds. It works the same like the regular phpnuke headlines blocks, except the feeds can come from different sources/sites [in my case three sources Planet PHP, Ravenphpscripts, Nukescripts]. Those links can be placed on a table with many rows and columns which can be set in MH Admin panel [where it says Multiheadlines Block Management and on "Multiheadlines Center Block" , NOT on "Multiheadlines Scroll/Marquee Block" that is a diferent thing]. This block can be set up only if you have copied the file block-Multiheadlines-center.php on the /blocks folder.
- a second type is like the block called "Security" also on my front page on the right.
- a third type looks like the previous one, except it's content doesn't move. Instead it have a scrollbar on the side that must be scrolled if you want to read the whole content of the block.
These last two types can be created from MH Admin panel [where it says Multiheadlines Block Management and on "Multiheadlines Scroll/Marquee Block"]. You can set the position of these two types to: left, right or center at creation.
- a fourth type is the MH block that is made up by file block-Multiheadlines-search.php from /blocks folder
- a fifth type is the MH block created by the file block-Multiheadlines-categories.php also from /blocks folder

Now the module itself [Multiheadlines] has two sides. A front page which is the front page of my site[starting from "RSS/RDF/ATOM Feeds", just below the description of the Reminder module until page links P1, P2, ...]. Actually if is not loaded on the front page looks like here: http://www.aikons.net/multiheadlines.html
This is the front page of the module.
The second side of the module is like here http://www.aikons.net/multiheadlines-categories.html, where you can start browsing the feed categories.

There are no center blocks there. That is the look of the second page from the category 3 on your site.
If you want to create a block to look like the module, you can create block from MH admin panel - > Multiheadlines Block Management - > Multiheadlines Scroll/Marquee Block - > Create - > Type: Scroll, Show description in blocks: Yes, Position: Center,............etc.

Why MH capturing the less feeds from rdf

I used the same rdf url into google reader, where that provide almost 11 News feeds
while MH is capturing only a 2 or 3 news feed from that url

I have emptied the whole feeds database, reduce the refresh time from 3600 second to 600 seconds then refresh the feeds, but MH is capturing ony 2 or 3 news from rdf url

RDF url is GEO Pakistan, GEO Worldand The Jang

so please tell me, how MH module capture the correct number of feeds from the provided urls

Well I don't know how google RSS reader works, perhaps is smarter than mine. Smile
However something is wrong with those feed urls. I'm not sure but this might been a problem for MH.
Check this or this or this.

Hi.

This module is a great work

I have installed the module in version 7.4 of phpnuke and everything goes well (I have changed the Link files, case,...)
Nevertheless, with himself not to insert in my index page the content of the module. I do not see that block adds the information of the side "front page" that it shows the information as it appears in the index page of this Web.

Thanks and excuse my English

Make Multiheadlines module as the Home Page of your site[via Administation->Modules->and on that big table on Functions table->select Put in Home].

I'm not sure though that this is what you want...let my know if I got it right.

You can't have two modules loaded on your homepage[this is how php-nuke works].

...but you can make a block[with block-Multiheadlines-categories.php] and just below it a block[scroll block not marquee]-with the option[Show description in blocks set to Yes].....[you can also edit a little bit the newly created block[scroll] in such way to be without the scrollbar].

Will look a little bit like the first page of the MH.
