Posibility to the users to choose the homepage of Multi.
Choose the category to show on homepage, like in your_account module

Include in Url RSS an RSS-Validator image-link... less problems for to known which RSS resources runs or not.
Simple.

I thought about a function in MH to check RSS URL before using it.

how about being able to submit atom files?

and also to import an opml file.

also, to limit the amount of news items on each page will be useful.

thanks

maybe have the site links and images point to a page to view news of just that specific feed.

the ziffdavis feeds don't really work well with the current version
since they are used by a variety of sites and there is really no http://rssnewsapps.ziffdavis.com site

Must do this!!!
Many peoples requested this option: To edit manually the URL of the site where the news comes from.

yes, it also might be tied into that other problem
of different feeds from the same site but in different catagories.

I was just thinking I could subcatagorize all feeds to keep them separate to check to see if they're working correctly.
But I'll have to delete the database entries and refresh them all at the same time
and hopefully that will keep them where I put them and not in the last on I entered with that site name.

Oh, another idea, how about an archive ?
export feeds or stories to file to save database space
or maybe to another part of PHP-Nuke like submited news for like top news or news articles I don't want to be removed ever.

keep in mind I'm not complaining
there is so much in this module I find useful as is

thanks again

What do you mean by this?

When I tested this module I reached about 16000 RSS News Smile and it crossed my mind about the option to make an archive or something like this but later I wondered what can I do with that archive.

This could be done really easily but you must keep in mind that these are still RSS feeds not news and above all we are talking about headlines that in matter of days become obsolete.
Hmmm...keeping the most relevant RSS news in database is another great idea.

Oh, I just trying to figure out how I can view one feed at a time
I thought that the main catagory would show all the sub catagories feeds
like the main page show all the feeds the catagories would show all the sub-catagory feeds, but I tried that an it's not the case I guess.

yeah, archiving isn't really practical just a thought

Whene people go to the MultiHeadlines Module, it would be nice to have a category chooser presented at the top of the page.

In my case, I run a true-crime site, and some folks are interested in very specific categories of news, such as "Serial killers" or "celebrity crime" or "stupid criminals"... it'd be nice if they could choose to filter those from a Category list (with icons?) at the top of the page (rather than having to click the "Browse all Categories" button.

Personalized RSS feeds. What about the idea of allowing users to select what feeds are brought to them. I mean to say, what feeds that each users sees, not just all who come to the site? I.E., personalized feeds.

You mean each user will add a rss url[---> making thus a collection of personal rss urls] and when he/she will be logged in he/she will see[on site] only the news comming from that url?

Yes, but not limited to just one feed. Allow users to select multiple feeds. But just because user A selects sports and weather, does not mean user B will see the sports and weather feeds.

BTW,

When is the next version coming out? I can help beta test it since I have 20 feeds and 2000 headlines in it.
